Overview
Pillows that we spend a third of our lives together need careful hygiene control. So, what is the ideal pillow care method? It is recommended to replace the pillow cover three times a week to keep it clean. But replacing the pillow cover three times a week is very annoying. Take out the bulky pillowcases, put them in, organize them... Doesn't it bother you just thinking about it?
I wanted to make a pillow cover made of good fabric, which is easier to replace than the existing zippered pillow cover, so I developed COCOBE.
Background
I knew I had to take care of the pillow cover regularly, but I was too lazy to put the bulky pillowcases in and out of the pillow cover, so I put a new towel on the pillow every day. It was refreshing to sleep with a towel on, but it left a lot of marks on my face, and by the time I woke up, my bed towel was crumpled somewhere in the corner.

The importance of pillow hygiene care
Beddings such as blankets and pillows are products that we use and touch every day, so we need regular hygiene control. Among them, pillows are especially more susceptible to contamination than other beddings due to saliva, sweat, dead skin cells, and oils from the scalp or face, which provides a very ideal environment for the propagation of microorganisms harmful to the human body, such as bacteria, fungi, and mites.
In particular, there are a number of microorganisms such as fungi and mites, as well as bacteria that cause respiratory diseases such as lung disease. Also found are bacteria that aggravates asthma, and propionibacterium acne that causes various dermatitis including acne.

Our team, which has set the ultimate goal of 'quality' and 'convenience' in the Cocobe project, has launched the Cocobe through a total of seven tests and product modifications. We researched the best way to easily replace the cover and found the most suitable fabric for the function of the product. Also, it was made with endless consideration so that it can be applied to various sizes of pillows as a single product.

COCOBE is a simple product that designed to help you manage the hygiene of your pillow and anyone can see at a glance how it works and what it's used for. If you try it, you'll never forget its necessity.

Best fabric for you
Micro-Fiber fabric, which was selected as the fabric of COCOBE after endless consideration by Cocolab, is a high-end allergy care fabric made with delicate and solid technology.
Micro-Fiber fabric is more fine and solidly organized than 0.1~0.2mm bacteria that cause parasitic allergies, dermatitis, and asthma, making it almost impossible for harmful bacteria to inhabit. It is known as an antibacterial material that suppresses various allergic bacteria. Besides, it is the best fabric for bedding because it has excellent antibacterial ability even in humid conditions.
In addition, as the fabric dries perfectly within 30 minutes to 1 hour, it is easy to wash and manage, and it is thinner and lighter than the fabric used for regular pillow covers, so it takes up less space for storage.

COCOBE also satisfied the KAFRI(Korea Apparel Testing & Research Institute)’s laundry test with excellent grades. We have certified that there is little variation in the product even with frequent washing.
Package Design
Even the small details of the package design were prepared with great care.The transparent vinyl was used to enhance the clean and refreshing characteristics of the product, and the image of the sanitary product was maximized through vacuum packaging. The postcard and brief description card enclosed on the back show the characteristics of the fabric and how to wash it.
Rewards
Part of the funding was donated to families of children in need in crisis to improve their living conditions. It was also used to for the production cost and the next project.
