Overview

How did you collect the useful information you found on Naver?
‍
When we were shopping, looking for a place we wanted to go on weekends, looking for information that would help us with our assignments on the Naver, we used to use bookmarks or screen capture what we found, keep the files in email and on our phones, and then take them out or organize them again.
‍
However, the numerous screen captures in the smartphone gallery are annoying, and it's not easy to find the information again that's scattered and disorganized. So I suggest the 'My Board' function to make all this information easy to store and find.

What is NAVER?

First of all, Naver is Korea's largest search portal service that many people are familiar with in their daily lives. As of February 2017, more than 95% of smartphone owners between 19 and 30 years of age in South Korea are using Naver, and the cumulative number of downloads for Naver apps has exceeded 100 million.

In particular, Naver has about 35 million users per month, of which more than 33 percent are related to shopping.

Situation

We use Naver every day, and we get a lot of information. When we shopping, reading the daily news, analyzing stocks, or looking at a delicious recipe, we have some information we would like to see again. However, it may be hard to find the post we saw today tomorrow because Naver updates its contents every day and from time to time. So we used to send a personal message, a memo, or a screen capture of the information that we'd save.

Current Service Analysis

Isn’t there a way to save content on the current Naver?
No! NAVER was providing content storage through a function called ‘Bookmark'.
Below is the introduction of 'Bookmark' provided by Naver.

“Naver Bookmark”
: that can be easily stored and taken out anywhere

Naver bookmarks are constantly improving, focusing on the basics of the service, ‘The information users need to be easily stored and can be retrieved directly from any device when needed.’ First, let's look at keeping the content of interest as a bookmark. If you tap the star icon located at the bottom of Naver Service or on the toolbar, you can easily store the content as a bookmark.

Then, there is a “Bookmark” service in Naver, but why do users save it through other methods?To find out why, we conducted a brief opinion survey on Naver service targeting 20s who are familiar with Naver.

Findings

At first, I wanted to find the inconvenient points of Naver Shopping service, but by grouping the research results, I was able to spot notable pain points that are connected to Naver's entire service.

Since it is difficult to organize the data saved in the bookmark, it takes time to search again

It is difficult to access the bookmark while viewing other pages of Naver.

Even if one captures good information, it is difficult to find the source of the saved screenshots.
